Keeping Them Honest
Veterans Day in New York City, November 11th, 2019, The President of the United States gave a speech about Veterans and an Update on the Veterans Administration. In his speech he stated the the Veterans Administration has a 90% approval Rating and that is the highest rating ever.
So where did that fact come from? Beats me, I have no idea. I do know the VA health care has a 90% approval rating and has had that for a while, here is a report from 2013
There has never been a study on the Veterans Administration as a whole covering all aspects and Departments of the Veterans Administration. When it takes over 10 years for an average benefits claims, Veterans loosing homes, family, and job, I can not imagine that in any way the VA would receive a 90% approval rating. I mean, after all, with 20 exmilitary members committing suicide a day... how in the world does that equate to a 90% approval rating. Right there is 20 veterans a day who would disagree with a 90% approval rate.
Anyway, it's the health care who has the 90% approval rating. I kinda disagree with that for many reasons. One of my reason would be, that the people who do these surveys nevered used the VA health care system. Just ask a Veteran with PTSD, and ask that Veteran, "How many pills do you take and can you do anything? And also ask that Veteran, when you do take those pills, are you receiving an income?
We will dive into this issue later when the site gets settled in and we can go more into these problems, but meanwhile, dive into these good reads about the VA system from inside the VA system.
From the Inspector General
The OIG was unable to determine if facility leaders had not responded to complaints for at least 15 years.

After reading this reporte form the Inspector General, do you think this is an isolated issue or an issue that is system wide?
After looking back at the last few years, are Veterans filing claims better off, or did the Veterans Administration just move the furniture around to make it look different with the same results? I feel the later is true, you may now get a finding report back but there's a 90% chance it will be a deninal and the Veteran is still looking at 6 years of fighting the Veterans Administration at the minute.
